You must have heard about Tim Ho Wan. And no, it is not some ~~Hong Kong Actor~~, but it is actually an award winning Dim Sum Restaurant.

I was invited for Media Food Tasting at Tim Ho Wan.

So I decided to bring my Awesome sister - Kimmy

(who many thought was my wife/girlfriend) *staring at Amanda - haha*

But even if I need to, it is definitely worth. TRUST ME!

F.Y.I. - Tim Ho Wan is the cheapest starred restaurant in the famed culinary kingdom of the Michelin Guide. *NODDING HEAD* YES THE MICHELIN, which awards Michelin stars for excellence to a select few establishments. All the dim sum are FRESH, SUPER FRESH as they are made-to-order; not those steamed inside the kitchen from prawn also steam to baby shrimp kind..

Now we can enjoy authentic Hong Kong Dim Sum without catching a plane to Hong Kong many thanks to Chef Mak Kwai Pui who decided to venture into the local market and is backed by Hersing Corportion!

1. Baked Bun with BBQ Pork.

Disclaimer: I am not a BUN/BAO person so usually I skip the BAO when I eat DimSum.

But this BUN is like SO DAMN GOOD, it is like on another level of awesomeness. It taste so awesome that it seem unfair to even compare it with other Bun. The bun is like so so so soft and crispy where it doesn't feel dry when you eat it. Plus the filling literally make my mouth have orgasm.

I never EVER ate more than 2 bun in a roll before but I ate like 5 today! YES 5. It is Buntastic

2.Vermicelli Roll with Pig's Liver

I thought I was eating some silk roll. The Vermicelli is so so so silky and cooked to the point where it is soft but doesn't tear easily. The Pig's liver has a really nice flavor to it, if you like liver.

There are total 5 different types of Vermicelli Rolls.

3. Pan Fried Carrot Cake

Yes, this may look like a typical normal carrot cake. BUT don't be deceive by this cunning TASTY MMMMMMMMMMM.... Yummy Carrot Cake. The nice fried outer layer with the cottony inner layer, is just bite after bite of happy carrot dancing on your taste buds.

4. Steamed Egg Cake

When this was served, I was like " Wah, never expect this to be like one of the 4 heavenly king, maybe something more appealing like a har gao or siew mai." This simple looking spongebob look alike Steam Egg Cake melts in your mouth.

I was really having this look. Except more round and less yellow.

I am gonna introduce some of the other nice Dim Sum that I like. Even thought they might not make it to the heavenly list but they are equally good!

Here is my " The 4 HELLVENLY King." - According to my taste buds!

1. Prawn Dumpling (Har Gao)

According to Hellven's Dimsumlogy, a dim sum meal is never complete without eating Har Gao. Woo La La. The har gao is not sticky like many which I tried, and the prawn is FRESH! SUPER DUPER FRESH, plus it is big, unlike many which put Prawn Dumpling but inside like plankton....

5 Thumbs-up for my HAR GAO.

2. Spring Roll with Egg White

I didn't read the menu, in order to keep myself surprise. And yes, this did surprise me. Cause usually Spring Rolls are like filled with vegetable, but this is with Egg White. Ironically, it taste kinda like a deep fried Salad, which has a rather unique taste that will make you crave for more. But if it was even more crispy, is even better!

3.Garlic, Mushroom, Spinach Dumpling

3 of my fave items combine into 1. How not to love! The skin of the dumpling is wrapped so well, that even when I pick it up with my chopstick, give it a gentleman butt swinging action also won't tear or break. It was recommended by Amanda, and now I am recommending to all of you!

4. Tonic Medlar & Osmanthus Cake (Look like herbal soap)

How can I forget about dessert right! Always have room for dessert, no matter what. Plus, this is like a super healthy dessert. This is like the Osmanthus drink but jelly-fied. Next time my mom wanna cook some herbal tea or tonic water - Add sugar and jelly powder. SHIOKNESS
